About The Red Door Hang

In May of 2019, Red Door Hang founder Zach Green was rapidly making and developing connections within the Nashville music community. Trying to fit in and stressing about reinforcing dozens of relationships with people he barely knew, Zach sought a less formal networking event with no corporate influence, cliquey gatekeeping or “who do you know” elitism.

Red Door Hangs are a comfortable space for the music industry and creators to foster relationships with driven, likeminded peers.

Two months into the pandemic and with a growing demand for some kind of COVID safe version of The Hang, Zach created the Virtual Red Door Hang. Occuring once a quarter, The Virtual Hang is perfect for those who prefer a more structured format, but also including attendees around the world representing Japan, Jamaica, Canada, Australia, UK and other US cities like NY and LA.

 FAQs

  • Red Door midtown location (the one on Division St not the one in East Nashville). We meet on the large patio facing Chuey’s.

  • You do not! Many of our most regular attendees are creatives (musicians, writers, artists). Some people with no connection to the industry have come along just to make new friends, and that’s ok too!

  • Absolutely! The fact that there’s always new people joining the hangs is one reason why so many RDH veterans keep coming back

  • Nope! Many people come nervous and realize quickly that it is truly just a gathering of likeminded professionals having a drink. A common sentiment is that it doesn’t feel anything like a typical networking event.

  • There are some pay lots but best street parking is on music row.
